Hi! My name is Emily, obviously. I am from Lodi, Ca originally. I live in downtown chico with 8 roomates. Everyone thinks I am crazy when I tell them I have 8 roomates, but it is okay, we all have our own rooms. The year is almost over and no one has been strangled yet, so I feel like that is a good sign.
I want to be a teacher because it is what i have always wanted to do. I decided I wanted to be a teacher in kindergarten. I distinctly remember watching my teacher write on the chalkboard and thinking, "I want to write on the chalkboard", and the rest is history. As I got older i just kind of realized I really did want to become a teacher because when thinking about a career that I wanted to pursue, teaching is the only profession I got excited about when thinking about it.
I am expecting a really good semester in this class. I love to read so when i got the required book list, I was very happy. I expect to have fun in this class and from looking through the course packet I also feel like i will come away with a lot of books and writing activities that I can modify and use in my classroom someday.
